Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the meatballs: ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and browned on the outside.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced ginger, and minced garlic. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can mix the cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to make a slurry and stir it into the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the hot sauce over them. Toss gently to coat the meatballs evenly with the sauce.
Garnish the firecracker meatballs with thinly sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
